Our Health Care Facilities practice manages five (5) state-run health care facilities across the Montana region, each serving populations with unique challenges.
MSH provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. Services include: evaluation and assessment, medication management, individual and group therapy, psycho-educational programs, rehabilitation and vocational services, chemical dependency treatment, and peer support. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana and serves people admitted from communities across the state. More information is available here.

The Intensive Behavior Center (IBC) is an intensive, short-term treatment facility in Boulder, Montana for individuals who have intellectual disabilities. IBC is a 12-bed facility that provides an environment for building healthy, effective, and fulfilling lives so those receiving treatment can live successfully in the community after discharge. The Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC) provides intensive in-patient treatment that cares for the disease of addiction including withdrawal management for substance use disorders and treatment for co-occurring mental health disease. MCDC provides the highest level or most intense level of treatment for addictions in the health care continuum funded by the state of Montana. MCDC engages with all community partners who provide and support addiction and recovery services to continue the lifelong journey of recovery. More information is available here.

The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of people who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community, but who cannot benefit from the intensive psychiatric treatment available at MSH. However, the MMHNCC may discharge residents who can function in, or benefit, from, community settings. More information is available here.

The Montana Veterans Home (MVH) is a Medicare/Medicaid and Veterans Administration certified facility with 105 intermediate/Skilled-care beds and 12 domiciliary beds. The nursing facility includes a 15-bed Alzheimer’s unit. MVH has been providing services to Veterans since 1896. Most rooms are double occupancy including bath and shower facilities. The skilled and rehabilitative services include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and dietician services. Physician services are provided on site by North Valley Hospital of Whitefish. More information is available here.
